Scouting & Recruiting

Drawing on the experience of our Sporting Director and the current state of professional football, We propose a structured approach for the scouting and recruiting department that centers on a key goal. Specifically, we will aim to identify the attributes that top clubs and
leagues are seeking in each position across all four phases of the game.

We will then develop a comprehensive profile for each position based on the skills and abilities exhibited by the best players in the world. This focus is critical because our players will always face stiff competition for a limited number of positions in the top tiers of football.

To give them the best chance of success, we must clearly identify the specific job skills (or “weapons”) required for each position and provide our players with the best possible training and education to master these skills. With this foundation, they will be well-equipped to compete against other players when it comes to securing transfers and opportunities.

To achieve this goal, we will begin by conducting a detailed scouting scan to identify the potential weapons in the players we scout to allow us to build a comprehensive position profile that accurately identifies the key attributes required for success at the highest levels of football With this methodical-content scouting approach, the organizational approach would be set up by a geographical, age and annual time based scouting concept.

Player Development

Organization and Structure are the next fundamentals and strategic path to this goal. It’s start with having age based teams, where only players of a year (vintage) play in one team. 

For the season 2023/2024 it would be this age/team categories.
• U18 Team (2006)
• U17 Team (2007)
• U16 Team (2008)

Marketing

A good product is only as good as it’s prominence and publicity.
Therefore,
1. The right video recording of the AFA matches (position of camera: distance
to the pitch, height etc.)
2. The structured position based highlight video of every player (table of
content)
3. and the presence on professional scouting platforms (Instatscout, Wyscout
etc.) have to be set up as standard and maintained.
Additionally, the strategic buildup of a club and agent network for all relevant
markets will be set up

The key to success for the Excellence Football Academy is to develop the talent of young players by mastering the specific skills required for their position, a task that falls to the coaches. To achieve this, the academy plans to implement a technical-tactical periodization program that spans across all ages.

To execute this program, the academy intends to recruit young, highly qualified,and salary-cheap coaches from Europe, particularly Germany
and other European countries with advanced talent developmentcurricula, contents, and methodologies in their coaching license system.

 

The coaches would benefit from this coaching job by gaining valuableexperience working with high-talented footballers and enhancing their
own coaching development and CV. Sporting Director will be charge of the whole recruiting process to find
and chose the best fitting coaches for the Ashanti Football Academy goals.
